The institution applies to EMGS for the Visa Approval Letter first; the single-entry visa is only issued once that letter is in hand. Budget two months, not two weeks.

Malaysia requires a sponsor or a confirmed hotel booking for the full duration. Transit without a visa is available for stays under 120 hours on some routes.
