The trip
What the days actually look like.
A properly equipped boat, a forest department guard, and a naturalist who has been working these channels for two decades. Small groups only: twenty-two berths, and we do not fill them all.

Board at Mongla
Transfer from Khulna and board by midday. Lunch as the boat moves into the Pashur river. Afternoon dinghy run up a side channel; briefing and dinner on deck.

Kotka
Dawn dinghy through the narrow creeks — the best two hours of the trip. Walk to Jamtola beach across the grassland after breakfast. Kotka watchtower at dusk for the deer herds.

Hiron Point and Katka
Move south overnight. Morning at Hiron Point, then a long slow cruise with the naturalist on the roof deck calling out kingfishers, eagles and monitor lizards. Final dinghy run at last light.

Back to Mongla
Cruise north through the morning, disembark after lunch, transfer to Khulna.
